Biography

Gina Breeze is based in Manchester, a city influential in the shaping of modern day House music.

Coming from a musical background & having an eclectic taste in music has led to success in the studio. Honing the craft & learning constantly, Gina has started collecting synthesisers and drum machines, the obsession has begun!

Gina Breeze first gained attention from her residency at the legendary Leeds night SpeedQueen and playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Parklife, Creamfields & Beat-Herder.

On the studio side, her first track, “Don’t Stop,” was picked up by the Italian Record Label, Layers, garnering support from Him_Self_Her and Kerri Chandler. This lead to ‘Bugged’ & ‘Crystal Black’ E.P on NYC’s Get Up Recordings.

Gina now has releases on labels such as Classic Music Company and Defected. With support from The Black Madonna, Gene Farris, Steve Lawler, Tiga, Jesse Rose, Lauren Flax, Serverino , Hifi Sean & Soul Clap.

The last few years have seen gigs progress, supporting Hot Since 82 & Hannah Wants on their U.K Tour, and playing internationally. Gina played a basement set for  the infamous Lady’s Fag at 11:11, East Village, New York City. Gina also played her first gig for Lost Disco at Barbarellas - Croatia.

The latest edition to HomoElectric’s Residents, Gina is now part of an electronic revival taking place on the outskirts of Manchester city centre. Venues like Hidden, Mantra & Antwerp Mansion, provide the perfect stomping ground for clubbers looking for an escape from the shiny commercial clubs. You can catch Gina playing regularly at Manchester’s newest and most stunning hotspot, The Refuge. Look out for Come As You Are street parties, and basement raves curated by the Unabombers.
